Pinterest: A Traveler’s Best Friend

a traveler's best friend

So y’all know I am addicted to Pinterest. It is my go to for everything from cooking to classroom ideas…but did you know it is truly the travelers best friend??
During our road trip in California, Amanda and I constantly scoured Pinterest for fun places to stop, photography inspiration, as well as hidden treasures. Most of the time these pins will lead you to fellow bloggers sharing their wonderful experiences.

Each time we approached a new town we would search it. For example when we went to San Luis Obispo we searched it and found the restaurant we ate at as well as the cutest coffee shop!¬†Driving through Big Sur, Pinterest also helped us narrow down our stops…or else we would have pulled over non stop!

In Venice Amanda was determined to find a picture she had seen on Pinterest and lucky for her the person had geotagged the location. This meant all we had to do was click the pin and the directions were on the phones map! Talk about a cool traveling tool!

Has anyone else used Pinterest to help find fun spots during travels??
