Guilty Admission: I was the WORLD’s biggest Laguna Beach fan when I was younger…I own the first season on DVD and I can even quote a few episodes…definitely not something I am proud of. Laguna Beach definitely set my expectations for high school VERY high…and I am sad to report that my high school experience was nothing like LC and Lo’s. No Spring Break trips to Cabo or themed parties at my mansion up on the hills. If you loved Laguna Beach as much as me, you need to check this out Life Lessons from the show.
Lo was always my favorite
Okay, so why am I sharing my secret obsession with a tv show that was on over ten years ago?
3 out of 6 grandkids with Aunt Lorraine
Well, during our recent trip to California we visited my Great Aunt Lorraine for her 88th Birthday Celebration and she just happens to live in Laguna Hills…which is a short drive from Laguna Beach.
Needless to say we made a stop. Laguna Beach is my mom’s favorite beach in California and it was easy to see why. We have driven by before, but this was the first time I have actually explored the beach.
Mom and I
We were lucky to have a PERFECT day at the beach. Sometimes in California the mornings can be pretty hazy, but by the time we arrived most of the haze had burned off leaving a beautiful day.
Family minus Matthew (he was stuck studying for exams) near the tidepools
I would love to stay in Laguna Beach, and therefore I have added it to my Spring Roadtrip itinerary. The town itself is very artsy and I think I would enjoy exploring it.
