California Dreamin’

Tomorrow I will be back on a plane heading to Los Angeles! I am so excited to be heading to California. It is interesting that the next three trips I have planned are all to California!

One of my most favorite pictures with my California family!

This trip is to visit family. My dad’s side of the family lives in Glendale and Pasadena. I am so happy to get to see my grandma, who is also one of my most loyal blog readers! We generally go to California at least once a year to visit family…so I have developed some favorite spots. We are just going out for a short weekend trip, but I am looking forward to visiting some of my favorite places…

IMG_8059The In-N-Out next to LAX is ALWAYS our first stop…no matter the time of day. I am so ready to be off the plane and enjoying my burger! Seriously In-N-Out needs to come to Florida!

Griffith Observatory: Possibly my favorite spot in town! I have never been inside (crazy I know) but I love walking around and taking in the spectacular views.

Venice Canals: We visited this the last time I was in Cali about a year ago. It was beautiful, the houses around the canals are incredible.

So why else am I heading to California?

My best friend Amanda and I have been planning a California road-trip for as long as I can remember. We are going for my school’s Spring Break, and we will be renting a car and driving the coast. Our plan is to start in San Francisco and work our way down to my grandma in Glendale! We may even make our way down to San Diego. I am beyond excited for this trip with my best friend! We will be planning over Christmas break, but if anyone has any suggestions please leave them in the comments!

Dad and I on the California Coast

The last trip to California is also still in the works…but it includes roughing it. We are planning on going backpacking in Yosemite. Growing up my family has always been outdoorsy. Summer vacations almost ALWAYS involved hiking (which at the time I hated) or some other form of adventure. I just ordered some intense hiking boots, and I already have a backpack. The thing I am most looking forward to during this trip? Climbing to the top of Half Dome!

Stay tuned for lots of posts about all my adventures! I can’t wait to share!
