How do you like that hashtag in my title? I know this isn’t instagram or twitter, but I am a big fan of Throwback Thursday (also known at #tbt) so I thought I would bring it over to my little spot on the internet and share my TOP 10 Trips! I have to say, it was extremely hard to narrow down my list to the TOP 10! Growing up my family always took trips within the United States, so I have been extremely lucky to have seen some of the many beautiful national parks our great country has to offer. I have also been blessed with the opportunity to travel abroad in recent years. I think the travel abroad is what has really stirred this passion in me!
1. Cinque Terre, Italy
Hands down my most favorite place I have ever visited. I went here while backpacking through Europe with two sorority sisters. This wasn’t on our original plan, but after seeing a picture of the colorful coast I knew I HAD to see it. We made a little detour and headed this way. We were so lucky to stay in a two story apartment with an ocean view (for 90 euros a night!). I will never forget walking into the ranger station and showing the picture on my phone asking WHERE CAN I FIND THIS? Cinque Terre is definitely on my list of place I NEED to visit again. I would love to hike the entire coast!
2. Winter in Yellowstone
I had visited Yellowstone in the summer and absolutely loved it, but visiting it in the winter was absolutely magical. The only way to enter the park in the winter is on a snowmobile or a motorcoach. This limits the amount of travelers in the park making for a pristine winter wonderland. We went on quite the adventure and snowmobiled through the park. We stopped at the different geysers and got up close to the wildlife in the park.
3. Great Wall of China
Another incredibly breathtaking location. I had high hopes for the Great Wall, and I have to say it surpassed my expectations! Words can’t describe the views that greet you from the top of the wall…and I went on a cloudy day!
4. Paris, France
I would LOVE to go back to Paris. I was convinced I would hate it and that the French would be rude…but I found the complete opposite. I LOVED Paris and everyone was extremely kind to us.
5. Crater Lake, Oregon

WOW! Talk about one of the most shockingly beautiful places in the world. I honestly had no clue what to expect. My poor mom twisted her ankle the day before, but nothing was going to stop her from hiking the mile down to the lake. The lake is a mirror, giving photographers some of the most spectacular scenes to shoot. We took the boat ride (I would skip that in the future) but it gave us a chance to really see all the lake had to offer. The water looks royal blue from above, but on the boat you can see straight down through the water! The whole trip in Oregon was spectacular, the header from my blog is a picture snapped on that trip! Mount Hood is a must!
6. Eleuthera, Bahamas
The most crystal clear blue water I have ever seen. Pink sand beaches and amazing reefs make for the perfect tropical trip! Our best day was spent exploring the island with a local. My favorite was spotting sea turtles while Snorkeling Current Cut!
7. Washington D.C.
D.C. is one of my favorite quick trips. My best friend Chelsie lives and works in D.C. so I am always looking for an excuse to visit her. My top spot in DC is probably Georgetown. I also enjoyed taking the short trip to the Naval Academy in Annapolis Maryland!
8. San Juan Islands, Washington
One of those places that doesn’t seem real. We went orca whale watching, and stayed on the coast and spotted the whales from the cliff of the beach. San Juan is also home to some of the most colorful wildflowers.
9. Tongli, China
A small water town outside of Shangahi (another favorite). We took a boat ride around the town through the canals.
10. Riggins, Idaho
This little town in Idaho was home to one of my most memorable trips. We tagged along with the University of Florida Alumni Association. My brothers and I were the only kids on the trip which made it extra fun for us. We met some friends we are still in close contact with today! We did everything from mountain biking (my tire blew twice! scary!) and jet boating the Snake River! My favorite part of the trip was our overnight raft trip. Sleeping under the stars is an incredible experience.
Gathering all these pictures for this post has me planning some future trips back to several of these places!
