We are at DAY FIFTY! :)! Today I was at home and I loved it! I got to see my baby brother Matthew play tennis. He plays for Bishop Moore…line number 1! He dominated!! So today’s picture is of him! I also got to see the Nicole, Natalie and Noelle…they are one of the first families I ever babysat for…and Nicole is a SENIOR (makes me feel SO old!) Nicole if you are reading this I am sorry I didn’t get a picture of you and Matt for picture of the day! I also brought Caroline (my little mini-me) to the match! She is in 5th grade and reminds me so much of me when I was little! :)! We always have a blast! After the match I headed to SMM because I was working a retreat (my whole reason for coming home!) I got to see some of my favorite Youth Group people…and I felt like such a grown up because I got to DRIVE students! Of course me being the only person who gets lost with a GPS missed a turn! But luckily I was able to get back on track and arrived a few minutes late. I had a car full of girls including Gina my favorite! :)! At the retreat we did some really awesome activities Tonight we did the stations of the cross…but the students were blindfolded! The students were so mature (the stations took over 3 hours, we didnt finish till 2 AM!) I was extremely impressed because I don’t know if I could have handled being blindfolded for that long. The students had to trust us and their peers to lead them safely through the stations. I do have to say at some points it was hilarious…I was station 12 so for the first half I moved kids from room to room. Sometimes students would get disconnected from their group and their would be one lone person standing in the hallway clueless. When I finally got to my station the students had to kneel at one part and someone stood up and took out a whole stack of chairs. Being blindfolded all they heard was giant CRASH and they all screamed! I found this hilarious but at the same time I can understand where they were coming from! It was an amazing experience, for the students and parents. We did not get to bed until 3 AM and I had to sleep on TILE floor (I wish I got the BRING AN AIR MATTRESS memo) Of course these CRAZY high school girls wanted to pull an all nighter…so not happening! I was glad I didnt have to be the bad guy and yell at them…Kay took care of that (my new hero haha!) I finally fell asleep around 4:30 AM…LOOONG DAY!
